Amidst the commendation of the Kwara State Government for the commencement of the disbursement of N10,000 bursary award to no fewer than 9,989 final year students in the nation, BlossomNigeria kindly appeal for increase in the amount disbursed to students.

The beneficiaries in the nation’s tertiary institutions from the state, were confirmed after the thorough screening of the 27,314 total entries drawn from 16 local government areas of the state.

A statement issued in Ilorin on thursday march 27, was signed by the State’s Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde. She stated that: “We have started paying the bursary award of N10,000 to each of the successful applicants, which has been graciously approved by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.”

As BlossomNigeria commend this noble act by the Kwara state Government, we also kindly appeal that the amount should be reviewed upward from the current amount, due to the present very high rate of inflation across the nation. The inflation story is not different for students as they are also feeling the ‘pinch’ of the nation’s economic ache.

As we look forward to a more stable economy, and commending the Kwara State Government for the current project, BlossomNigeria also says that students should get more sustainable financial support from their State Governments. We look forward to getting more inspiring feedback in this direction. Well done Kwara State.
