Cross River State Communities Gets N22m Support From Lafarge Africa

BlossomNigeria commends Lafarge Africa, that has initiated a programme, which currently supports 60 women-led businesses across its 13 host communities with N22m in seed grants. The communities span Akpabuyo, Akampa, Calabar Municipalities and Ndupani Local Councils in Cross River State.

In his remarks, the Plant Manager of the Mfamosing plant, Milad Hanan in his remarks emphasised the company’s recognition of women in the business community and the place of gender equality in the business sector.

The company’s Communications Manager of East Lafarge Africa, Bassey iNyang also highlighted the company’s commitment to Women development through the business skills that the Women are also being equipped with.

We encourage more participation in the company’s programme for Women, even as the Cross River State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Edema Irom thanked the company for recognising Women as key actors in the business sector. Keep up the good work Lafarge Africa.
