Abuja Enterprise Agency Empowers 40 Schools With ICT Equipment

Blossom Nigeria applauds the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), for empowering 40 private and public schools in the Federal Capital Territory with Information and Communication Technology equipment and accessories.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Mr Chudi Ugwuada-Ezinigwe who spoke during the closing ceremony of the Digital Innovation Training Programme For Secondary Schools in the FCT, affirmed that the initiative was to help the children meet up with the current realities in ICT world.

The Managing Director at the event which held on Tuesday June 11,  buttressed the fact that the exercise which started in 2023, is aimed at helping school children meet up with the changing world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

He noted that they were getting the necessary support from the FCT Administration, and indeed working in collaboration with the NITDA . In his remarks, the Director General, National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Abdullahi, said the partnership was a cornerstone of the Agency’s comprehensive digital literacy for all programmes.

Abdullahi who was represented by the Director, Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions, Oladejo Olawumi, said the plan was strategically aligned with the NITDA roadmap, stating that the training would bring about fostering digital literacy and cultivating talents, promoting inclusive access to digital infrastructure and services, also nurturing an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Noting the collaboration, the FCTA Head of Service, Samuel Atang represented by the Acting Director, Human Resource Management, Akinkunmi Ogunniran, pledged the administration’s commitment to helping agencies deliver on their mandates.
